Job Description
Lifehouse is hiring a Major Gift Officer whose primary responsibility is to secure major philanthropic support for our mission. This role focuses on cultivating relationships, directly soliciting major gifts, and growing sustainable fundraising revenue to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
What you will do:
- Personally solicit and secure major gifts from individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
- Build and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects with clear revenue goals.
- Develop and execute donor strategies that lead to closed gifts and increased giving.
- Conduct in person, virtual, and written fundraising asks.
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on donor strategy and high-level solicitations.
- Track pipeline activity, revenue progress, and donor engagement in the CRM.

What you will bring:
- 5+ years of experience directly soliciting major gifts.
- Proven success closing six figure gifts.
- Confidence and comfort asking for money and discussing philanthropic investments.
- Strong relationship building and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive results.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $127,000 if annualized
Work Location: In person, San Rafael CA
