Please let me know if you or any of your friends would be interested in this position.Position Details:Mammographer - Shelton CT Location :Shelton,CT Pay range :$61-$64anhour Project Duration : 13 weeksShift : AM (08:00 - 04:30)Job description:We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join our imaging team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mammography, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to perform both screening and diagnostic breast imaging procedures while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.Key Responsibilities:- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols.
- Operate mammography imaging equipment and ensure optimal image quality for accurate interpretation.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures while providing compassionate care and clear instructions.
- Review patient histories and verify examination orders.
- Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards, regulatory requirements, and departmental policies.
- Document procedures accurately and maintain complete patient records.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to support patient care and diagnostic outcomes.
- Perform quality control procedures and assist with equipment maintenance as required.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Mammography Technologist experience.
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography [ARRT(R)(M)].
- Current state licensure, if required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience operating Hologic mammography equipment.
- Proficiency in performing both screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
- Strong knowledge of breast imaging protocols, patient positioning, and radiation safety practices.
