Mammography Technologist

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including mammography, ensuring high-quality imaging compliant with established policies and procedures.*
• Review all documentation related to procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness.*
• Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of radiographic equipment, performing preventative visual and manual inspections.*
• Coordinate resources efficiently to manage radiographic procedures and optimize workflow.*
• Conduct equipment calibration and warm-up procedures to prepare for patient imaging.*
• Procure necessary supplies and report any equipment issues promptly.*
• Contribute to a collaborative, positive work environment through effective communication and teamwork.*
• Support administrative duties related to patient procedures and documentation.

Requirements:

• Proven interest in patient care and satisfaction.*
• Operating knowledge of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, including mammography.*
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.*
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster supportive relationships with colleagues, staff, and physicians.*
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving procedures.*
• Demonstrated professionalism in following directions from medical personnel.*
• College degree, ASRT (RT)(R)(M) certification, and a CT State License are preferred*
• Prior experience in mammography and radiography is highly advantageous.
