Job Description

Overview:

We have a tremendous opportunity for a Manager Accountant to play a key role on our Tax team.  We have openings for candidates residing in and around Dallas, Texas. As a highly valued member of our Firm, you will work closely with the Tax team to provide timely, accurate, and reliable completion of client engagements. Come join an organization that focuses on work/life balance for all of our employees!   

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and/or review complex business and individual tax returns
  • Develop effective working relationships with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services
  • Ability to identify and research tax issues, develop resolutions, and prepare written conclusions
  • Assist with the developing, training and mentoring of staff and interns
  • Recognize the opportunity to provide new and innovative services
  • Willingness to learn new tax skills that the diverse client base at The Bonadio Group offers. Not limited to: public company tax services, banking and financial industry tax services, international, cross-border and expatriate compliance services, and transaction advisory services

Required qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting 
  • An active CPA certification
  • A minimum of five years of tax experience in a public accounting firm or equivalent experience
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with aptitude to learn firm technology, present and future

Hours of Operation:

  • Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and (discretionary) from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday  
  • We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however, the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times
