Job Description
A hospital in Houston, TX is seeking a mid-level Manager of Case Management for Trauma. This role oversees case management operations within a trauma service line and requires an experienced clinician with a strong background in utilization management and hospital-based care. The position is based on-site in Houston and does not require travel.The role. The Manager of Case Management for Trauma is responsible for leading case management and discharge planning activities within the trauma program, ensuring effective utilization management and coordination of patient care across the continuum. This leader will supervise and guide clinical staff, support cost and quality management initiatives, and apply both clinical and operational expertise to drive outcomes. The position reports in-person to a specific facility location in Houston.What we're looking for.
- Case Manager Certification required
- Current and valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas, or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) required; LCSW preferred
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in utilization management, case management, discharge planning, or other cost/quality management program
- Three (3) years of experience in hospital-based nursing or social work
- Three (3) years of demonstrated leadership experience
