Job Description

Summary:

Lifesaving impact, rewarding careers: For more than 150 years, the ASPCA has been on the frontlines to save, transform and protect the lives of millions of animals.

Do you have a passion for collaboration, teaching, learning and creativity? As the worldwide leader in spay/neuter training, the ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance (ASNA) plays a critical role in reducing shelter euthanasia rates nationwide. The Manager, Educational Content & Design creates and oversees compelling, mission-aligned visual resources and engaging educational materials that help us share our gold‑standard practices in an accessible and impactful way. Join a world-class team in Asheville, NC and use your skills to support lifesaving care for the animals who need us most.

Who We Are

ASNA is the premier training center for high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) services and education. Since 2005, we have altered an average of 20,000 animals annually and trained more than 6,500 veterinary professionals and student externs at our Asheville campus. As a high‑volume clinic and teaching hospital, we help agencies nationwide open, operate and sustain high-quality spay/neuter programs, and we provide extensive free online training through ASPCAPro and ASPCA Learn. We are proud to set the standard of care for HQHVSN and to support the next generation of veterinary professionals.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll take charge of our internal resource library, which empowers our staff to shine in their roles as animal caregivers. You'll craft classroom presentations for our students that transform complex concepts into practical skills that make a real impact. And you'll create engaging and effective resources to share with our network of spay/neuter clinics (and beyond!) to make a significant difference for cats and dogs nationwide.

With your project management savvy, a keen eye for accuracy and consistency, emotional intelligence and knack for creativity, you'll shine as a key member of our go-getting team.

  • The Manager, Educational Content & Design reports directly to the Director, Educational Content and has no direct reports.

Where and When You'll Work

  • The position is an on-site role and reports to the ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance campus in Asheville, NC.

  • Typical hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Thursday and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Fridays. This role requires flexibility in schedule to accommodate program needs, which could include varied daily shifts, weekends, evenings and holidays. Schedules are subject to change at the sole discretion of the ASPCA.

  • Ability to travel up to 5% as needed

What You'll Get

Compensation

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to education, training, experience, location, business needs, internal equity, market demands or budgeted amount for the role. The target hiring range is for new hire offers only, and staff compensation may increase beyond the maximum hiring range based on performance over time. The maximum of the hiring range is reserved for candidates with the highest qualifications and relevant experience. The expected hiring salary range for this role is set forth below and may be modified in the future.
