Accounting Manager

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote; remote on Wednesday & Friday)

ARC Group is partnering with a well-established company in the oil & gas industry to identify an experienced Accounting Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader with strong GAAP knowledge, financial reporting experience, and a CPA who enjoys leading teams while improving accounting processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations and oversee the general accounting function.

• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing coaching and performance management.

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

• Prepare and review financial statements, accounting reports, and supporting schedules.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Analyze accounting procedures and internal controls, recommending process improvements when appropriate.

• Research technical accounting issues and provide guidance on proper accounting treatment.

• Oversee account reconciliations, account classifications, and financial reporting activities.

• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requests.

• Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, tax reporting, and other special projects as needed.

• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

• CPA required.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.

• Experience within the oil & gas, energy, or related industry strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.

• Experience managing accounting processes, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
