Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Director of People Operations, the Manager of Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading the recruitment strategy and execution to attract, hire, and retain top talent that aligns with Augusta National Golf Club’s (ANGC) culture and business objectives. This role oversees the full recruitment lifecycle, builds strong talent pipelines, and partners closely with leaders to anticipate workforce needs. The Manager will also drive employer branding initiatives, optimize recruiting processes, and ensure an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience. The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on recruiting leader with proven experience in building and scaling talent acquisition functions. They bring strong business partnership skills, a data-driven mindset, and a passion for attracting and developing high-performing teams.This position is a full-time, on-site role in Augusta, GA.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive talent management strategies and programs to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Strategically partner with internal HR and functional hiring teams helping them to define, develop and implement recruiting strategy that matches their business needs
  • Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, from job posting through offer negotiation, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and a positive candidate experience.
  • Responsible for recruiting all Manager and above level roles as well as specialized/niche positions.
  • Use passive sourcing and recruiting techniques including, but not limited to, referrals, databases, job boards, social media, career events, and networks to locate talent.
  • Build and maintain diverse candidate pipelines through sourcing strategies, networking, partnerships, and employer branding initiatives.
  • Ensure positive candidate experience with frequent and timely communication throughout the recruitment process.
  • Leverage recruiting metrics and analytics to monitor effectiveness, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, job boards, and recruitment agencies to optimize talent sourcing efforts.
  • Partner with the Intern Program Manager on the college recruiting process, including attending career fairs and events as well as establishing and maintaining year-round university relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and best practices in all recruitment activities.
  • Contribute to special projects and initiatives, such as process improvements, system implementations, and talent market research.
  • Manage and mentor direct reports, ensuring high performance, professional development, and effective collaboration.

  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
  • Occasionally required to walk and work with hands and arms, lift up to 25 pounds and/or drive a golf cart.
  • Constantly required to sit, sometimes for several hours at a time, and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations for state, federal, and local.

  • Must maintain a social focus, dedicating attention to building and maintaining relationships.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Relative Experience/Education:

  • 5+ years of experience in the Talent Acquisition field required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required; five years’ direct Human Resources experience may be substituted for a formal degree
  • Professional Recruiter Certification (PRC), preferred

Required License(s):

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and/or successfully completes the Club’s internal motor vehicle training program

Projected Work Schedule:

Normal work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays. May have some travel July through November.
