Title: Security Design & Integration Manager, Americas

Location: Preferred: Denver, CO | Alternatives: Chicago, IL or Portland, OR

Travel: Up to 50% across North and South America; occasional global travel as required, including short notice

The Manager, Security Design & Integration, Americas is responsible for security design delivery and systems integration across EdgeConneX data centers in North and South America. This role supports end-to-end execution of physical security design, integration, implementation support, and commissioning readiness for new builds, expansions, and upgrades. The position partners closely with internal project teams and external integrators to ensure consistent deployment of EdgeConneX standards and customer security requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own physical security design delivery for assigned projects from early design through commissioning and turnover.
  • Define project security requirements and acceptance criteria aligned to EdgeConneX standards and customer expectations.
  • Review and approve security designs and submittals produced by integration partners, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercoms, and related field devices.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, Information Technology, and Security Operations on system interfaces, dependencies, and schedule constraints.
  • Validate installation and configuration quality through quality checks, site walks, and commissioning reviews.
  • Drive closure of design gaps, defects, and punch items, including verification of corrective actions.
  • Maintain documentation quality, including design drawings, as-built records, test results, configuration records, and turnover packages.
  • Provide estimating and budgeting inputs for physical security systems when requested.
  • Improve standards, templates, and repeatable design patterns to reduce rework and improve consistency across the portfolio.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong technical understanding of physical security systems and integration methods.
  • Ability to evaluate designs quickly, identify gaps, and make practical decisions under delivery pressure.
  • Strong vendor management: sets expectations, enforces baseline requirements, and holds delivery partners accountable.
  • Clear communicator who can translate technical requirements into simple, executable direction for integration partners and internal project teams.
  • Disciplined execution: tracking, documentation, follow-through, and closure.
  • Comfortable operating across multiple sites and stakeholders without losing attention to detail.

Experience/Education

  • 5+ years’ experience in physical security design, systems integration, or physical security program delivery.
  • Experience supporting critical infrastructure environments, with data centers strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with technical drawings and standard construction deliverables such as submittals, requests for information, and as-built documentation.
  • Experience with LenelS2, Lenel, or Genetec strongly preferred.
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or equivalent certification preferred, or willingness to pursue.

US Salary Range

$110,000 - $130,000USD
