Job Description

The Medical Information Manager is responsible for meeting the medical information needs of internal and external Eisai customers as it relates to the company's products. He/she will contribute to the development of high-quality Medical Information deliverables within the team and will be a visible member of the department by collaborating cross-functionally to meet Medical Affairs objectives. This includes but is not limited to:

Leveraging scientific expertise to develop and maintain medical information for Eisai products which meets the needs of Eisai's internal and external customers; Serving as a medical and therapeutic expert as part of collaborations between Medical Information and other Eisai departments; Researching and conducting detailed analyses of the scientific literature to communicate relevant scientific information within the department and cross-functionally; Serving as project lead to develop and update AMCP Formulary Dossiers for Eisai products; Assisting with the development and updating of compendia strategies for Eisai products; Ensuring medical accuracy of Eisai's advertising and promotional materials as part of Copy Review Committee; Ensuring medical accuracy of Eisai's scientific materials as part of Product Medical Review Committee; Partnering with Sales Training to develop and update training programs, provide input on training curriculum, and utilize clinical expertise to present product and disease state information to new Sales hires; Contributing to reports on Medical Information activities to internal customers; Serving as mentor for pharmacy students participating in Eisai Clerkship Programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries from healthcare professionals, patients/consumers, field staff and other internal business partners.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality Medical Information deliverables to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
  • Track scientific literature for Eisai-marketed products, investigational compounds, competitor products/compounds, and related disease states.
  • Ensure medical accuracy of promotional and scientific exchange materials in partnership with Medical Directors for CRC and PMRC processes for assigned products and/or therapeutic areas.
  • Provide scientific support for assigned stakeholders on ad hoc projects and/or initiatives, including at Medical Information Booths for assigned medical conferences.
  • Analyze metrics and develop insights reports on Medical Information activities to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced colleagues as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in sciences or related field (Pharmd, RPh, RN, APN, PA etc.) with 3+ years of experience in the pharma/ biotech industry.
  • OR a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of FDA guidances on appropriate scientific exchange practices.
  • Prior experience in medical writing and development of scientific communication materials.
  • Some experience coaching and mentoring new hires/ less experienced colleagues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software, Sharepoint, Veeva, customer relationship management software and other technology and telephony systems.
  • Proven performance in earlier role.
  • Requires travel up to 20%
  • This position is hybrid in Nutley, NJ (in office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every week).

Eisai Salary Transparency Language:

The annual base salary range for the Manager, Medical Information, Oncology is from :$121,800-$159,800

Under current guidelines, this position is eligible to participate in : Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan.

Final pay determinations will depend on various factors including but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, and skills.
