Title: Manager, Supplier Relations

About this Job

Energy CX is hiring a Manager of Supplier Relations to build its supplier relationship function from the ground up. Today, the company is leaving value on the table with suppliers, data isn't being captured, reconciliation has gaps, and relationships lack the structure needed to strengthen over time.

This person will fix that: building trust and reinforcing strong, ongoing relationships with suppliers while designing the workflows and systems behind them, taking supplier processes from manual and ad hoc to automated and scalable, and representing the company as a credible, data-driven partner in the room.

Objectives of this Role

  • Own and develop the relationship between Energy CX's and our supplier partners
  • Design and implement how Energy CX operationally works with suppliers
  • Support negotiations around commission structures and incentive programs
  • Monitor and flag opportunities to improve ECX's standing with key suppliers
  • Surface intelligence about what suppliers are learning and prioritizing, and represent Energy CX proactively to suppliers

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Manage daily supplier communications and ensure timely resolution of all inquiries and issues
  • Reconcile commission discrepancies against contract terms and maintain accurate tracking
  • Validate and integrate new supplier data into ECX systems, flagging discrepancies as needed
  • Track supplier rate and term changes, assessing their impact on deals and informing the sales team
  • Manage supplier relationship touchpoints, including QBRs, with proactive preparation
  • Monitor progress toward supplier incentive thresholds and identify opportunities to maximize outcomes
  • Maintain a weekly scorecard tracking key operational metrics across supplier programs
  • Conduct weekly reviews of supplier relationships, reconciliation, data capture, and contracts to proactively address gaps

Skills & Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Experience managing external partner, supplier, or vendor relationships; comfortable serving as the primary point of contact and building trust with counterparts
    • 5+ years of experience in the energy industry
    • Strong process and workflow design skills; able to move supplier data collection, reconciliation, and reporting from manual/ad hoc to automated and scalable
    • Comfortable owning commission reconciliation against contract terms and catching discrepancies before they compound
    • Highly organized and proactive
    • Strong Excel and data-tracking skills
  • Preferred:
    • Experience supporting contract negotiations around commission structures or incentive thresholds
    • Background in brokerage or another supplier- or vendor-driven industry
    • Experience building SOPs, reporting cadences, or tracking systems from scratch

ECX Benefits

PTO

  • All major holidays
    • Full day off on Thursday and Friday of Thanksgiving

Energy CX Company Culture

Our culture is not for everyone. It is designed for people who want to grow fast, take ownership and raise the bar every day.

At Energy CX, we don’t just work—we challenge each other to solve hard problems, innovate boldly and keep improving. We believe in personal growth, extreme accountability and building a team of exceptional people who push one another to be better.

We live by The Four Forces of Innovation — the levers that power innovation at scale:

Higher Standards - Raise the BarExcellence isn’t reserved for launches or headlines. It’s how we communicate, plan, and follow through.

We value ownership, prioritization, focus, discipline, effective communication, action, efficiency, resourcefulness and maximizing value.

Innovate It - Think DifferentlyInnovation isn’t about flashy ideas, it’s about taking on new challenges and outgrowing what no longer serves. At Energy CX, we are experimenting constantly and building what the customer actually needs—especially when it breaks what came before.

We value curiosity, experimentation, collaboration, bold thinking, long-term vision, customer centricity and simplicity.

Continuous Growth - Better Every Day

Growth is not perfection – it's our commitment to get better every single day. No matter how successful we become, we stay open, driven and aware that mastery is a process. We improve with feedback and through failures.

We value grit, transparency, resilience, fulfillment, constant learning, and being one team.

Do Good - Leave It BetterDoing good is about serving others and creating lasting impact. The good we do doesn't usually return to us directly – and that's the point. We believe that every system we strengthen, every teammate we invest in and every customer we guide creates an impact we may never see. But we do it anyway because our work extends far beyond today.

We value humility, community, kindness and leaving every person and project better than we found them.

The Deal at Energy CX
