Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Own overall purchasing and inventory performance to support production schedules and business objectives
  • Lead and develop the Purchasing Manager, who oversees purchasing agents and day-to-day procurement activities
  • Oversee sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance
  • Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, MRO, and services
  • Lead the inventory team and establish clear processes for inventory control, accuracy, and accountability
  • Monitor inventory levels, turns, and excess/obsolete material; drive continuous improvement
  • Own cycle count programs and year-end physical inventory
  • Partner with Production, Fabrication, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to support manufacturing operations
  • Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and supply risks; develop mitigation plans as needed
  • Ensure purchasing and inventory data accuracy within ERP/MRP systems
  • Prepare and review purchasing and inventory reports, KPIs, and cost-savings initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of high school diploma, GED or equivalent. Degree in business preferred.
  • At least three years in a position with purchasing responsibilities
  • Able to effectively communicate and understand job instructions verbally and written
  • Able to perform basic mathematical computations and apply the concepts of fractions and percentages to practical situations
  • Experienced defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, draw valid conclusions and resolve discrepancies in a reasonable amount of time
  • Must be proficient, quick and comfortable with personal computer navigation and operation
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with MS Office
  • Experience with MAS90 and Google docs
