Department: Fiscal Planning Location: Columbia, TN Schedule: Full‑Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Job Summary

The Manager of Reimbursement is responsible for leading the research, analysis, preparation, and review of all government cost reporting and reimbursement activities for the health system. This includes annual Medicare, Medicaid, and Champus/Tricare cost reports, as well as State of Tennessee reimbursement filings.

The role oversees cost report reopenings, appeal documentation, audit preparation, settlement activities, and the development of reserve calculations used in financial statement preparation. This position partners closely with finance and operational leadership to interpret reimbursement regulations and assess the regulatory, operational, and financial implications of proposed initiatives across the system.

Success in this role requires deep expertise in healthcare reimbursement methodologies, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting.

Job Requirements

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or 5 years of equivalent experience

• Accounting experience within a hospital or health system

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with RHC/FQHC reimbursement

• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills

Preferred

• Experience with IME/GME reimbursement

• In‑depth knowledge of government reimbursement rules and regulations

• 5 years of experience in hospital third‑party reimbursement and cost reporting
