Job Description

Manager - Corporate Finance & Treasury 

Qualifications 

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in treasury, accounting, and financial modeling/forecasting with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 
  • Proficient in accounting and financial management software and Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Excel 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • 7+ years of related professional Accounting/Finance experience 
  • CPA, CTP, FPAC, or similar professional designation preferred 
  • Mortgage industry experience preferred 

Compensation Range:  $120,000 - $150,000 

Responsibilities 

Treasury Operations & Controls 

  • Serve as primary day-to-day contact for banking platform partners 
  • Own the Company's bank account governance framework, including account establishment, maintenance, closure, and periodic review processes 
  • Maintain and administer bank account access governance, including user provisioning, periodic access certifications, role reviews, and segregation of duties requirements 
  • Oversee GNMA custodial account liquidity management and compliance with applicable operational and funding requirements 
  • Establish, document, and enforce treasury-related fraud prevention controls, including payment verification procedures, wire controls, approval workflows, and monitoring activities 
  • Design and maintain payment approval workflows and supporting documentation standards to ensure appropriate authorization, transparency, and auditability of cash movements 
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance treasury policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard Company assets and support regulatory, audit, and corporate governance requirements 

Liquidity & Cash Management 

  • Manage and optimize daily cash positioning across all legal entities, bank accounts, and operating activities to ensure efficient utilization of Company liquidity 
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance short-term cash flow forecasting processes, including daily, weekly, and monthly liquidity forecasts 
  • Coordinate intercompany cash movements to support efficient liquidity management and funding needs across legal entities 
  • Own the design, maintenance, and rationalization of the Company's bank account structure to support operational efficiency, control requirements, and minimization of idle cash balances 
  • Establish and enforce wire and ACH governance processes, including payment approval structures, authorization controls, cut-off management, and escalation procedures 
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to optimize working capital, including migrating vendor payments to credit card spend, exploring alternatives for travel and expense (T&E) management, and assessing other financing and banking platform capabilities 

External Debt Covenant Reporting 

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly debt covenant reporting using financial information prepared by the controller function and other internal contributors 
  • Prepare condensed US GAAP balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement on a quarterly basis for regulators using trial balance provided by the controller function 

Financial Planning & Analysis 

  • Lead annual financial plan and monthly financial re-forecast process, developing key inputs with stakeholders and analyzing historical and current trends to assess other budget assumptions 
  • Use budgeting, financial forecasting and modeling tools to forecast balance sheet positions over the forecast period, including liquidity and capital positions  
  • Implement department-level budgets for corporate functions, facilitating the near-term and long-term planning for these functions and enabling appropriate allocations based on cost-drivers 
  • Create forward-looking financial models and analyses to support key future growth opportunities and strategic projects 

Systems & Process Optimization 

  • Develop treasury reporting, dashboards, and key performance indicators to support executive decision-making and liquidity oversight 
  • Review and enhance treasury processes, structures, and systems to drive simplification, standardization, automation, and scalability 
  • Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Capital Markets, Servicing, and Operations to ensure treasury activities are integrated into broader financial management processes 
  • Support treasury-related and FP&A-related technology initiatives, banking platform enhancements, and process improvement projects with research, planning, and implementation, as required 
  • Identify, recommend, and execute on improved budget and forecasting methods to optimize near and long-term liquidity and capital planning  
  • Assist business leaders with identifying and tracking key financial performance indicators and objectives 
  • Support senior management team and operations leadership with in-depth analysis of core and ad hoc capital management projects
