  • Turn regional objectives into plans, budgets, and schedules; establish procedures that guide how the Americas organization operates.

  • Implement and improve EHS management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or equivalent), track conformance, and drive corrective actions.

  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state/local requirements; coordinate permits and records; represent the region during regulatory inspections.

  • Lead investigations of incidents and near misses, conduct root-cause analysis, develop action plans, and collaborate with HR on health and safety-related cases when necessary.

  • Support specialized programs including radiation safety, robotics safety, and high-energy or electrical testing.

  • Contribute EHS expertise to acquisitions, expansions, and site openings or closures in the Americas.

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety, Environmental/Occupational Health, Engineering, or a similar technical area (or equivalent experience).

  • 8+ overall years of progressive EHS experience with multi-site responsibility in high-tech, R&D, semiconductor, manufacturing, or data-center-type environments.

  • 3+ years of direct people-management experience leading EHS or technical professionals, with accountability for goals, feedback, and performance decisions.

  • Hands-on experience implementing and managing ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 (or OHSAS 18001) systems.

  • Solid understanding of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state/local regulations, along with a proven history of resolving issues identified in audits and inspections.

  • Proven ability to work with engineering, R&D, facilities, and/or sustainability teams on labs, test equipment, robotics, or similar advanced technologies.

  • Strong project leadership skills with a track record of taking initiative, communicating progress proactively, driving accountability, and building alignment across cross-functional teams to deliver measurable outcomes.

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional partners and senior leaders.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Professional certification such as CSP, CIH, or an equivalent regional credential.

  • Experience with critical environments (data centers, advanced labs, semiconductor operations) and application of NFPA 70E or similar standards.

  • Direct partnership with Sustainability/ESG teams on climate, resource efficiency, or waste-reduction initiatives and contributions to ESG ratings or disclosures.
