Summary:
The Transportation Manager is responsible for the overall performance of all activities associated with the management of fleet and driver operations. This role plans, organizes, directs, and controls customer delivery activities. This individual assists senior management in establishing performance objectives and safety standards. This individual is also accountable for achieving prescribed company objectives regarding safety, cost, productivity, accuracy, and customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and closely monitor owner/operator and company drivers in a fast-paced environment.
Responsible for the oversight of dispatchers on multiple shifts
Must have knowledge of all National and State DOT laws and FMCSA regulations.
Responsible for controlling driver and department costs, including shift schedules
Expected to perform at 99.5% on time performance.
Ensure that work is rotated among all drivers.
Understand all customer pickup and delivery procedures.
Must be able to perform routing planning for store delivery
Ensure that Drivers are continuously reminded to drive safely and be aware of their surroundings during pickup and delivery procedures.
Be able to react to emergency or urgent situations as they occur and follow emergency and/or accident company protocol.
Experience in building and managing Drivers and dispatchers
TMW, Four kites, and Event Capture Device Motive system knowledge a plus
Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises 30+ employees within MGF Operations Full Truck Load Transportation. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising office staff performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Pay Range:
$70,000 - $77,000*
- The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
