Role Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical, technically strong individual contributor to operationalize and evangelize our use of the Equifax Ignite platform. This role will serve as the internal subject matter expert on Ignite, translating business needs into actionable data solutions, and enabling data-driven decisioning across the organization.
This is a player-coach style individual contributor role-operating independently while developing deep data and platform expertise and providing guidance, training, and best practices to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for the Equifax Ignite platform
Develop a deep understanding of consumer credit bureau data, including tradeline structures and attributes and all other data elements and scores available through Ignite
Translate business needs into data queries, rules, attributes and actionable insights
Design and build ad hoc and recurring reports, dashboards, and datasets using Ignite data
Design and build new data elements to improve underwriting by increasing volume and/or reducing credit losses
Manipulate and analyze tradeline-level bureau data to support business use cases
Identify opportunities to automate reporting, workflows, and data processes
Partner with stakeholders across the business (Risk, Operations, Marketing, etc.) to deliver insights and solutions
Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including occasional executive interaction
Ensure usage of the Ignite platform aligns with vendor agreements and data governance requirements
Leverage AI tools/agents to efficiently keep track of macro credit trends and identify new attributes to be used in underwriting
Act as a knowledge resource, providing training and guidance to others on Ignite capabilities and data usage
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in data analytics or data science roles
Advanced proficiency in SQL and/or Python (ability to independently build complex queries and analyses)
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science (or similar field)
Strong experience translating business requirements into data solutions
Proven ability to work independently in a loosely structured environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and explain insights to stakeholders
Experience working with large, complex datasets
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with consumer credit bureau data, especially tradeline-level data
Advanced degree in Statistics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science (or similar field)
Prior experience with Equifax Ignite or similar credit bureau platforms
Background in financial services, lending, or consumer finance
Experience building automated reporting or data pipelines
Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)

Rapid understanding of RMC's business model and internal data ecosystems
Delivery of high-quality, actionable reporting and insights to business stakeholders
Increased automation and efficiency in reporting and data processes
Improved ability for the business to leverage bureau data for decision-making
Establishment of best practices and internal knowledge sharing around Ignite usage
