Position Summary:
The Helicopter Services Manager provides administrative and operational leadership by overseeing the daily operations, staffing, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance of the air medical transport program. This role coordinates flight crew activities, supports operational readiness, and works closely with aviation partners to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered air medical services. Collaborating with clinical, operational, and regulatory stakeholders, the manager helps maintain high performance standards while ensuring alignment with Trinity Health policies and applicable aviation and healthcare regulations. Through organized leadership, clear communication, and a team-focused approach, the position supports reliable air medical operations and quality patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the air medical transport program, including staffing, scheduling, and coordination of clinical and aviation resources.
- Collaborate with aviation partners, clinical leadership, and regulatory bodies to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
- Monitor performance metrics, quality indicators, and safety reports; lead improvement efforts as needed.
- Support budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planning for helicopter services.
- Participate in outreach, education, and relationship building activities with referring facilities and community partners.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and evaluation for flight staff; promote a culture of safety and high performance.
