Unique Attributes: Fast paced and innovative culture Established company with almost 100 years of success Company is committed to technology innovation and investment Lead enterprise-wide network security initiatives for one of the largest convenience retailers in the world Primary Responsibilities: Use your expertise in advanced security concepts to shape company-wide cybersecurity strategy and contribute to key technology and business objectives. Lead design, deployment, and oversight of core security functions including firewalls, web proxy servers, intrusion prevention systems, VPN connectivity (site-to-site and remote), NAC, multi-factor authentication, PKI, DNS security, and URL filtering. Define policies and drive execution of network security standards across enterprise, cloud, and retail environments. Oversee threat research, vulnerability remediation, and the development of compensating controls to reduce risk exposure across critical systems. Lead the development, prioritization, and delivery of team objectives, aligning security initiatives with business needs while acting as the point of contact for senior leadership and cross-functional partnerships. Provide hands-on guidance for complex issues, and act as the escalation point for network security incidents and architectural decisions. Manage hiring, team development, and succession planning; create professional development paths and ensure continued growth through strategic training and budget planning. Partner across security, engineering, and business teams to review architecture, assess third-party risk, and test security solutions prior to implementation. Continuously monitor, evaluate, and report on the performance and effectiveness of security controls, providing actionable metrics and updates to leadership. Stay engaged with the vendor community to evaluate emerging technologies and ensure the organization is leveraging best-in-class solutions to secure data at rest, in transit, and across hybrid environments. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s or MBA preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in network security, with progressive leadership responsibilities. Strong background in enterprise security solutions including PKI, NAC, web filtering, VPN, and threat intelligence. Demonstrated success leading technical teams and cross-functional security programs. Preferred certifications: CISSP, CCSP, and/or network-focused certifications such as PCNSE, CCNP Security, or JNCIP-SEC. Compensation: Candidate can expect a salary range in the 140K to 155K range plus a discretionary yearly bonus.
