Job Description

5 plus years of Public Accounting experience Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Manager, Tax & Accounting for a growing local CPA firm in the Metro-Detroit area. We are seeking an experienced CPA that can oversee client engagements and support the continued growth of our firm. This role is ideal for a CPA with strong technical tax and accounting knowledge who enjoys working directly with business owners.

Requirements of the Manager, Tax & Accounting

CPA license required
Bachelor s degree in Accounting (Master s helpful but not required)
4 7+ years of public accounting experience
Experience overseeing tax engagements
Strong knowledge of federal and Michigan tax law
Experience with Thomson Reuters products is helpful but not required
Excellent communication and client relationship skills

Responsibilities of the Manager, Tax & Accounting

Manage and review business and individual tax returns
Oversee financial statement preparation
Review bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting services for business clients
Assist clients with tax planning, business structuring, and advisory
Support firm leadership with workflow management
Identify opportunities for additional services with existing clients
