Position Summary...
The Manager, Design and Production – Shows and Events leads the strategy, planning, and execution of high-impact events that bring Walmart’s culture and business priorities to life. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless, end-to-end event experiences—from concept development and technical production to vendor management, budgeting, and onsite execution. By combining creative vision with operational excellence, the manager ensures events are engaging, on-brand, and executed with precision. This role plays a key part in supporting senior leadership engagements, driving consistency across event delivery, and continuously enhancing the quality and impact of experiences across the campus.About the team: As part of Walmart’s Corporate Real Estate organization, our Campus Events team delivers high-impact events that bring our culture and community to life. We plan and execute experiences across Sam Walton Hall and the broader campus, from large corporate events to associate engagements. Our mission is to create seamless, memorable events that support business goals and elevate the associate and guest experience. We lead end-to-end execution, including planning, AV coordination, vendor management, and onsite delivery. - Project Planning and Execution: Develop project plans, timelines, and coordinate teams to deliver events on time.
- Event Coordination: Support execution of events aligned to business goals.
- Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact; provide updates and ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Budget Management and Invoice Processing: Track budgets, forecast costs, and process invoices for accuracy.
- Management of Third-Party Labor Resources: Coordinate vendors and ensure work meets Walmart standards.
- Business Solutions Implementation: Identify needs, implement solutions, and improve processes.
- Customer Service Excellence: Deliver a high-quality, welcoming experience for associates and guests.
- Information Resource: Share building and event information to support occupant experience.
- Proven experience in event planning, production, and management, including overseeing logistics and vendor coordination.
- Strong project and budget management skills with the ability to forecast, track, and enforce budgets effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners, coupled with strong executive presence when engaging senior stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and execute detailed show and event plans and content aligned with business objectives.
- Expertise in managing onsite event execution, troubleshooting, and ensuring resource availability.
- Demonstrated leadership in building relationships, mentoring teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives, with the confidence and executive presence to influence decision-making at all levels.
