Job Description
Responsible for the creation, implementation and management of a comprehensive quality assurance program for pharmaceutical compounding within the Baptist Health South Florida System for all sterile and non-sterile preparations to ensure the highest quality standards are in place coupled with regulatory requirements. The manager will be responsible for developing a robust program that includes quality and safety management for non-sterile, sterile and hazardous compounding as well as regulatory compliance, operational optimization, education and standardized process and policies across the health system. His/her reference standards are the BHSF policies, the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), The Joint Commission accreditation standards (TJC), American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, the FDA, the Agency for Health Care Administration and state and federal regulations. Estimated salary range for this position is $137846.35 - $179200.26 / year depending on experience. Degrees:
- Bachelors.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Registered Pharmacist.
Additional Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist in FL or eligible Pharmacy license required and eligible for Florida pharmacy licensure within 6 months from hire date.
- Documented record of success in management of sterile compounding pharmacy operations.
- Knowledgeable in Federal and State regulatory requirements governing sterile compounding.
- Demonstrated ability to apply and utilize knowledge of quality management processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage professionals and others through influence and collaboration across multiple sites.
- Experience in Pharmacy operations, systems, technology, and personnel management.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize effective communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated track record of self-initiative, strategic thinking, and successful planning and innovation.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with health care administrators.
