Job Summary
Grande is now hiring for our brand-new state-of-the-art facility located in Chilton; an exciting opportunity to be part of building something from the ground up! As the Manager I, Water Purification, you will oversee the full operation, monitoring, and optimization of Grande's wastewater treatment systems, ensuring compliance with WDNR and EPA regulations while driving safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. You'll lead critical functions including equipment calibration, preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, land application oversight, R.O. system performance, and environmental monitoring. Your leadership will help maintain efficient, high‑performing systems that protect our facility, our community, and the surrounding watershed.
In this role you will serve as a key liaison between Grande and regulatory agencies, contractors, local officials, farmers, and community partners, representing Grande in permit discussions, audits, and compliance reporting. If you combine strong technical expertise with the ability to build trust, streamline operations, and foster a positive team environment, this role offers the opportunity to lead with purpose and shape the future of our wastewater operations!
What you need to be considered for the role:
- Associate Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or other related field required; Bachelors Degree Preferred.
- Minimum of four (4) years of related work experience required, preferably in a food manufacturing industry.
- Training and/or experience in management/leadership preferred.
- Wastewater Operator license required
- Have knowledge of the mechanical, biological, chemical and disposal processes involved in the operation of the treatment facility.
- Ability to make sound decisions regarding the operation of plant processes and equipment with a high degree of judgment.
- Ability to analyze and interpret laboratory tests for the purpose of making operational decisions or adjustments.
- Demonstrated leadership ability including ability to effectively speak and present information and respond to questions.
- Strong math, reading, and writing skills.
- Ability to comprehend technical instructions/policies/procedures in written, verbal, or diagram form.
