Job Description
POSITION: Manufacturing Controls Engineer
LEVEL: P2 or P3
LOCATION: Plant 7
MANAGER: Randy Hetzner
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and develop machine based PLC logic systems
- Manage interface with Nexteer Traceability Systems. Be able to startup, troubleshoot and monitor existing systems
- Understand and author permissions based logic between manufacturing cells and rework stations
- Assume responsibility for Labview program edits, backups, and Revision control
- Be part of the engineering, development and debug of new equipment from controls logic standpoint
- Plant Production PC and Manufacturing IT Network support
- Utilize project management skills to plan and execute assigned Controls projects
- Communicate with all stakeholders, supervisor, engineers, skilled trades, etc. to meet customer requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
DEGREE: BACHELORS MAJOR: ENGINEERING
- Knowledge of Ethernet Network Systems (managing and reducing network traffic)
- Ability to configure, troubleshoot, and support Manufacturing Floor PCs
- Proficient in PLC/HMI program debug and additions
- Proficient with Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Prefer experience multiple programming languages (VB, C, etc)
- Prefer experience with Rockwell Programmable Automation Controllers
- Prefer experience managing and maintaining SQL Server 2008 and newer databases
- Prefer experience with Keyence/Cognex cameras, bar code scanners and printers
- Prefer experience with National Instruments Labview software
- Prefer experience with Fanuc Robotics programming / troubleshooting
- Required to manage multiple projects at one time
- High level of analytical skills
- High level of interpersonal skills, drive and teamwork
