Job Description
Judge Direct Placement is working with a food manufacturer in the Cincinnati, OH area seeking an Inventory & Data Analyst. This person ensures the physical stock matches the digital records, as well as understanding production output and resources utilized to measure the effectiveness. This role will bridge the gap between the production floor and the office. You will work directly with the Plant Manager and closely with the Engineering team to implement new data systems while spending a good portion of your time active in the plant, auditing materials and troubleshooting tracking hardware.
Key Responsibilities
Systems & Engineering Collaboration
Partner with Engineering to launch and maintain ERP and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Ensure plant hardware (scanners, scales, and sensors) correctly feeds data into our software.
Act as the internal expert for troubleshooting system gaps on the production line.
Inventory Accuracy & Auditing
Lead physical cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods in all storage areas.
Investigate inventory discrepancies by tracing product movement through the facility.
Monitor production yields and "shrink" to identify where we are losing ingredients or money.
Compliance & Process Improvement
Maintain 100% digital traceability for food safety audits and lot tracking.
Train floor staff on proper data entry and the use of handheld scanning equipment.
Suggest physical layout changes to the warehouse to improve the flow of goods and data.
Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years in inventory control or data analysis, preferably in food manufacturing or CPG.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Advanced Excel (Power Query/Pivot) and experience using ERP systems (like SAP, NetSuite, or Sage).
Physical Ability: Must be comfortable being active on the plant floor for several hours a day, including in loud or temperature-controlled environments.
Communication: Ability to translate complex data into simple instructions for production teams.
