Manufacturing Engineer

Payrate: $47.00 - $48.00/hr.Summary:The Proactive Quality team is responsible for driving prevention-based quality practices across new product and capital introduction programs. The team ensures quality is built into products and manufacturing processes from the earliest stages of development through launch by leveraging client's APQP and NPI frameworks. They partner closely with manufacturing, operations, design, and engineering teams to proactively identify risks, validate processes, and support successful product launches.Responsibilities

• Lead APQP execution for NPI and NCI programs.
• Drive early risk identification through PFMEA development and mitigation planning.
• Develop and maintain Control Plans aligned with process risks and customer requirements.
• Serve as the quality lead for launch readiness, manufacturability, inspection strategy, and error-proofing initiatives.
• Lead process validation activities including capability studies, run-at-rate evaluations, and production trials.
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure manufacturing process readiness and launch robustness.
• Monitor early production quality indicators and implement preventive actions.
• Support structured problem-solving and incorporate lessons learned into future APQP activities.
• Drive prevention-focused quality metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline.
• 7 years of progressive experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Product Engineering.
• Experience supporting NPI and/or NCI programs.
• ASQ-CQE, Six Sigma Green Belt, or Black Belt certifications.
• Experience with process capability analysis and error-proofing
• Strong APQP experience including PFMEA and Control Plan development.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $47.00 - $48.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
