• Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to improve manufacturing processes and product design
• Lead process development projects and propose enhancements to existing systems for improved efficiency and safety
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and production to develop and implement optimized workflows
• Define machinery, equipment, and tooling requirements and ensure project timelines and budgets are met
• Recommend new machine or tooling designs and collaborate with vendors to resolve equipment design issues
• Lead structured problem-solving efforts and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools
• Drive cost-reduction and waste-elimination projects to improve profitability and product quality
• Prepare reports, analyses, and presentations on process performance and improvement opportunities
• Support safety and quality initiatives throughout the production environment

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering (automotive preferred)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing process design, equipment selection, and tooling development
• Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and meet tight deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools

Nice to Haves

• CAD experience
• Plastic injection molding experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies
• Certified Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher)
• Background in automotive or high-volume production environments
• Experience with product launches or new process implementation
• Demonstrated success leading cost-savings and efficiency projects
