Job Description

Position SummaryNovelAire is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support on-site production of advanced HVAC and dehumidification systems at its Baton Rouge, Louisiana manufacturing facility. This hands-on role focuses on improving manufacturing processes for electromechanical, thermal, and refrigerant-based systems while supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The Manufacturing Engineer works closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Product Engineering to drive continuous improvement across NovelAire’s manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities• Design, implement, and optimize on-site manufacturing processes for HVAC, dehumidification, and thermal transfer systems.• Provide daily production-floor support by troubleshooting assembly, test, and performance issues related to mechanical, electrical, and thermal systems.• Collaborate closely with design engineering to ensure products are designed for manufacturability, serviceability, and scalability.• Develop and maintain work instructions, bills of materials, routings, and manufacturing documentation.• Specify, qualify, and support production equipment, tooling, and test fixtures used at the Baton Rouge facility.• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions related to quality, yield, cost, and delivery performance.• Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methodologies.

Required Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.• 3–5 years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience in an on-site production environment.• Hands-on experience supporting electromechanical assemblies and HVAC-related production processes.• Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.• Ability and willingness to work on-site in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Preferred Qualifications• Experience with HVAC systems, dehumidification equipment, thermal transfer, or refrigeration cycles.• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, wiring, controls, and thermal components.• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification.
