KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technical staffDrive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologiesDevelop and implement manufacturing processes that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize throughputSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) and production readiness activitiesCollaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Program ManagementAnalyze production data and implement corrective actions to improve KPIsOversee process documentation, work instructions, routings, and manufacturing standardsLead capital equipment and automation projects from concept through implementationEnsure compliance with aerospace quality requirements and regulatory standardsSupport root cause investigations and corrective action activitiesIdentify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvementChampion a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONSNeeded (Required):
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)Minimum 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within aerospace, precision machining, or advanced manufacturingMinimum 3+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teamsStrong background in CNC machining, aerospace manufacturing processes, tooling, and process developmentExperience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvementAbility to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and aerospace specificationsExperience supporting AS9100 quality systemsProven project management and organizational abilityU.S. Person status (ITAR requirement) — hard screen
Nice-to-Have (Preferred):
Aerospace OEM or Tier 1 supplier experienceSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certificationExperience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologiesERP/MRP system experienceNPI leadership experienceCapital equipment implementation experience
