Job Description
Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports daily manufacturing operations, assists with process troubleshooting, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for entry-level professionals developing hands-on technical skills in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Tasks:
1st Priority- Daily Execution Support
- Provide basic troubleshooting for manufacturing processes and equipment. Must have technical aptitude to understand direct cause of issue for Man, Method, Machine, Material, Measurement
- Assist with documentation of standard work and process instructions.
- Work with operators and engineers to resolve production issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
2nd Priority- Continuous Improvement
- Participate in small-scale Kaizen (continuous improvement) activities.
- Observe production flows and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in implementing 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) initiatives.
- Support PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycles to drive process improvements.
3rd Priority- Project work
Assist in equipment setup and modifications under supervision.
Work with tool room and design team to update and implement mechanical and electrical changes.
Support trials for new product launches and process validations.
Help implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce defects.
Education
- Associate degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience) preferred.
Experience
- 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production support role.
