Role Overview: As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician at Carfair, you will play a key role in supporting the manufacturing engineering team to develop, optimize, and maintain effective production processes. You will work closely with production personnel, engineers, and suppliers to identify issues, implement improvements, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, installing, and optimizing manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely technical support to minimize downtime.
- Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Contribute to the development of manufacturing procedures and documentation for new product introductions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on tooling, fixtures, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on new processes and standards.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably working with composite materials or FRP.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
