Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technician IILocation: Alexandria, MNCompensation: $24.00-$28.00 per hour - paid weeklyJob Type: Temporary or Temp-to-hireAbout the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Manufacturing Engineering Technicians for a leading hydraulic solutions company located in Alexandria, MN. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and want reliable hours with weekly pay, this job could be a great fit. Read below for more information!What You'll Do as a Manufacturing Engineering Technician:
  • Manage engineering change requests and orders to support production and design updates
  • Support prototype development, testing, and transition into full production
  • Design and maintain assembly and test fixtures for manufacturing processes
  • Develop and improve work instructions, documentation, and production workflows
  • Conduct time studies to validate labor estimates and optimize processes
  • Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and system issues to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve quality and efficiency
  • Lead and support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives
What You Need to Bring to the Manufacturing Engineering Technician:
  • Hold an associate degree in engineering technology or related field
  • Have 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering support roles
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing processes
  • Use CAD software to create and interpret drawings and documentation
  • Read and analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Apply knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Communicate effectively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Work independently and collaboratively with strong attention to detail
