ManufacturingFacilities Technician(Direct Placement & 6 Month Contract for Client)
Sigma Design has collaborated with an electronic components manufacturer seeking an experienced Facilities Technician to join their facility in Wilsonville, OR. This company designs and manufactures precision components that power advanced applications in aerospace, telecommunications, and medical technology.What Is Offered:- Exceptional healthcare coverage (PPO, HSA, FSA), with company contributions to HSA plans. - Bonus structure
- Monday – Friday 6:30 am – 3:00 pm
- Direct Pay Range: $30.00 - $40.00 an hour, DEO (5+ years of experience required)
- Contract (6 months) Pay Range: $26.00 - $36.00 an hour, DOE (2-4 years of experience required)
- Manage and maintain facility infrastructure and building systems, providing responsive support to production, engineering, and other support teams.
- Perform and oversee preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for buildings, offices, clean rooms, warehouses, and other facility areas.
- Complete assigned facilities maintenance activities, accurately document work performed, and follow established company procedures and guidelines.
- Coordinate with contractors on facility maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects, including gathering quotes, coordinating execution, tracking budgets, and communicating with leadership and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and processes to improve the functionality, reliability, efficiency, and appearance of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Maintain and improve building systems and infrastructure, including safety, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, access systems, storage, waste management, office, and breakroom areas.
- Ensure maintenance, repair, and construction activities are completed in accordance with applicable safety standards, specifications, quality requirements, and budget guidelines.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify opportunities for safety, efficiency, functionality, and aesthetic improvements.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate environmental conditions within production environments, including particle levels, temperature, humidity, water quality, and other applicable requirements.
- Support site safety and security activities, including incident investigations, incident documentation, periodic EHS audits, and coordination with safety contractors and corporate EHS resources.
- Maintain compliance with applicable EPA, OSHA, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate facility records, equipment data, building files, maintenance logs, and inventory.
- Utilize facility maintenance, inventory, safety, and other applicable software systems to document activities and maintain accurate records.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, specialty tools, and industrial equipment as required. Forklift and scissor lift experience preferred.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex facilities issues while implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain a clean, professional, organized, and safe work environment.
- Manage multiple assignments and projects simultaneously while effectively prioritizing work based on business needs.
- Provide strong internal customer service and collaborate effectively across departments and teams.
- Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of direct facilities experience preferred, preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment. Only 2-4 years required for the contractor role.
- Demonstrated experience supporting safety and environmental programs, including incident investigation and risk prevention.
- Strong technical knowledge of facility systems, equipment, maintenance practices, and related technology.
- Proficient with hand and power tools; experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, or other industrial vehicles preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement preventative solutions. Lean or Six Sigma experience a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and projects and effectively prioritize based on business needs.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across individuals, teams, and organizations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Visio; drafting or facilities-related software experience a plus.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods and perform physical activities associated with facilities maintenance, including walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, handling objects, and lifting.
- ITAR - Permanent resident of the United States (“U.S. person” as defined by ITAR)
- Background and drug screen - pass a post-offer background verification and drug screen.
