Job Description
ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Manufacturing Process Technician with a Biotechnology company. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity with our client located in West Greenwich, RI. This is Onsite position.Summary: The Manufacturing Process Technician will support material flow, staging, and waste handling activities in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role involves moving and staging of raw materials, totes, and IBCs between manufacturing areas, including operating powered industrial vehicles as needed. The position is part of a weekday team working from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.Responsibilities:
- Handle, stage, and transport materials and waste according to established procedures
- Move totes between Solutions, Purification, and Services areas
- Perform tote bag breakdown and waste disposal activities in accordance with site procedures and safety
- Operate powered industrial vehicles safely and in compliance with site requirements
- Follow written procedures and maintain compliance with manufacturing standards
- Identify, report, and escalate equipment issues or process malfunctions
- Maintain accuracy, organization, focus, and attention to detail during repetitive tasks
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of manufacturing, operations, or military experience, or an Associate degree
- Experience working in a GMP or other regulated environment
- Working knowledge of GMP principles
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks throughout a shift
- Ability to assemble, disassemble, operate, and understand simple to moderately complex equipment according to procedures
- Basic understanding of measurements, calculations, and the metric system
- Ability to follow written procedures and recognize and report malfunctions
- Strong communication skills
