Job Description Summary

The Manufacturing Tech will operate and maintain production machinery and equipment on the 3rd shift, ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor various manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to presses, CNC machines, and assembly lines, according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance on machinery to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process, identifying and rectifying defects to meet Oxford Forge, Inc.'s quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to accurately produce components.
  • Accurately record production data, including output, scrap rates, and downtime, using designated systems.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient production environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals and resolve issues.
  • Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading of components as needed.

Required Skills and Education

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Technical certification or vocational

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on a 3rd shift schedule (e.g., typically 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with experience operating machinery.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in using basic hand tools and measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing principles and quality control.
