Position Overview

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting complex production equipment to ensure all manufacturing requirements are met. This role supports engineering, quality, and production teams in maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency within a regulated medical device environment.
The ideal candidate can work independently on routine and moderately complex tasks, apply strong attention to detail, and make informed process decisions within their scope of training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex equipment to ensure production meets all operational requirements.
  • Support equipment setup, calibration, rework, and quality testing of parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Collect and evaluate operating data using sophisticated systems to perform on-line adjustments.
  • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure proper calibration and configuration.
  • Perform root cause investigations using intermediate troubleshooting tools.
  • Execute process validations and suggest improvements to engineering or leadership.
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions and process work orders using Oracle ERP.
  • Retrieve documentation using Oracle and Agile PLM systems.
  • Maintain 5S standards and actively participate in continuous improvement (MDI) initiatives.
  • Report non-conformances and ensure compliance with company Quality Standards, FDA regulations, and ISO requirements.
  • Complete all required training and maintain accurate training records.

Required Qualifications

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree preferred
Experience:
  • 1–2 years of relevant manufacturing or operations experience preferred
  • Experience with Oracle ERP or Agile PLM systems beneficial
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Ability to read and follow written procedures and schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
  • Ability to execute multiple operational roles and function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area
  • Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) best practices preferred

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
  • Lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, moderate noise, hazardous chemicals, high voltage electronics, and radiation
  • Ability to work in clean room, controlled environments, and/or dark rooms
  • Safety shoes with impact and compression protection required

Regulatory Compliance

  • Must comply with all applicable FDA regulations and ISO standards
  • Adhere to standardized production schedules and overtime requirements as needed
