Job Description
Pay Rate: $27.00 Overtime: $40.50 As a Manufacturing Technician 3, youll play a vital role in producing advanced propeller components that keep aircraft flying safely and efficiently. From layup to final assembly, your work directly supports flight-critical hardware that meets the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability. This role is designed for an experienced manufacturing technician who can work with a higher degree of independence across composite production processes, support consistent execution on the shop floor, and help strengthen quality and process discipline across the team. - Depending on production needs and your training progression, youll contribute to one or more of the following areas:*
- Layup: Prepare molds, cut and place composite materials, debulk, and vacuum bag assemblies.*
- Molding: Operate presses, autoclaves, and vacuum systems to mold and cure composite parts.*
- Bonding: Prepare surfaces, mix/apply adhesives, assemble and cure bonded assemblies.*
- Deflashing: Remove flash, gates, and excess material to achieve precise final dimensions.*
- Assembly: Build and balance propeller blades, hubs, and related hardware per specifications.*
- Inspection & Documentation: Conduct in-process inspections, maintain traceability, and record process data.*
- Support: Assist with shipping/receiving, inventory counts, and continuous improvement initiatives.*
- You will help reinforce strong process execution, quality expectations, and dependable output in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.*
- You may also support onboarding and day-to-day guidance for less experienced technicians within assigned work areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.*
- Technical training in manufacturing, composites, or a related field preferred.*
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in composites manufacturing; aviation or aerospace manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.*
- Ability to read ply books, engineering drawings, and process specifications.*
- Hands-on skills with composite materials, vacuum bagging, cure cycle monitoring, bonded assembly, and mechanical build work.*
- Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with precision tools such as torque wrenches, calipers, and micrometers.*
- Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards, FOD prevention, and cleanroom practices.*
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and traceability records throughout the manufacturing process.*
- Ability to support training and peer knowledge sharing within a production environment.*
- Ability to lift 4050 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work overtime or flexible shifts as needed.*
- Strong teamwork, communication, accountability, and attention to detail.*
- Successful completion of a background check and drug test.*
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.*
- Ability to work in accordance with company safety, quality, facility access, and ITAR-related requirements.
- Technical training in composites, manufacturing, or a related field.*
- Composites certification.*
- Aerospace or aviation manufacturing experience.*
- Experience working across multiple composite manufacturing processes.*
- Experience supporting onboarding or informal training of newer technicians.
