Test Engineer / Test Technician
(Location: Nashua, NH area)Overview:
Client is seeking a Test Engineer or Test Technician to perform debug and validation efforts for Intel-based server motherboards. This technical role calls for a person with deep expertise in hardware-level diagnostics, as well as the vision to drive process improvement and test strategy innovation.Must have the following experience:*3+ years of experience - Debug Intel Processor Boards Server Architecture exp.*Possible perm conversion for the right candidate.*Looking for someone who can come up to speed quickly.*Candidates need the following please do not submit them if they don't have these...Production experience, Debug knowledge, Knowledge of Digital interfaces.Key Responsibilities:- Lead root-cause analysis and complex debug activities on Intel server motherboard platforms.- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and validation scripts.- Collaborate with design, BIOS, firmware, and manufacturing teams to resolve product issues and improve first-pass yields.- Identify opportunities to enhance test efficiency and reliability through automation, tool development, or workflow optimization.- Mentor junior engineers and set quality standards in test methodology and execution.Required Qualifications:- 3+ years of experience in hardware validation, system-level debug, or similar roles.- Experience doing root-cause analysis and complex debug activities on motherboard platforms (Intel server motherboard platforms is preferred)- Strong expertise in Intel architecture, server platform features, and debug tools (e.g., ITP, JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).- Proven experience in developing and implementing robust validation plans.- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.) for automation.- Experience with manufacturing test flows or high-volume production environments.- Knowledge of quality systems, reliability analysis, or Six Sigma processes.Automate your job search with Sonara.
