Job Description
Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Marketing & Sales Education & Training team as an intern for the summer. This internship is in person, 5 days per week and located in Lansing, MI. The position requires the person to:
- Develop and prepare educational materials that focus on areas in need of improvement and use these materials in a manner that facilitates the development of other associates.
- Assess, direct and participate in training and skill building that may include travel to work with Branch and Home Office Associates including management.
- Direct the activities of associates in meeting company objectives.
- Objectively evaluate the progress of meeting training objectives; analyze training procedures; and prepare reports for management that include conclusions and recommendations for training alternatives and methods.
- Implement policies established by Senior Management.
- Work effectively with associates and customers at all levels.
- Travel to branches as requested to perform activities as may be required.
- Assist with other duties as assigned within Home Office or elsewhere on request.
Qualifications
- Students should be currently enrolled and entering their junior or senior year in college
- Above average communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to resolve complex issues
- Organize and interpret data
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
- Detail oriented
Pay Rate
$18.00 per hour. Returning interns may qualify for a higher rate of pay.
