The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the strategy and execution of Marketing Communications programs for the North American Advanced Insulation and Component Foams businesses at Armacell. This role develops and executes a results-driven, multi-platform communications strategy linked with the overall Corporate Communications program while still reflecting regional priorities. The Marketing Communications Manager oversees all brand strategy activities for the region, directs the development of all marketing collateral, monitors the success of comprehensive campaigns, and ensures the successful delivery of all Marketing Communications projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the Marketing Communications team in driving marketing communications projects that advance the stated strategy for the business, promoting Armacell solutions to key customers and end users. Understand the different markets Armacell competes in and tailor messaging and tools that support the sales initiatives.

  • Direct the development and revision of all new product and company literature to Armacell’s brand and format standards, ensuring the technical accuracy of all data and claims made. Write, edit, and proofread all literature.

  • Monitor and manage how company brands are used in the marketplace and maintain brand standards throughout the organization.

  • Serve on global steering committees and related strategy groups to align with global initiatives and share knowledge and duties, as required. Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies of tools and resources.

  • Work with the Product Management group to deliver the necessary Marketing Communications items for successful product launches, discontinuations and other related communications. Delivered items may include, as required, coordinating the creation of literature, photography, samples and sample kits, videos, mailings, internal and external announcements, web updates, and more.

  • Effectively utilize the electronic direct mail system to send targeted communications to customers, value chain players, and other opt-in subscribers. Keep internal stakeholders informed of email marketing communications. Track effectiveness of various campaigns and adjust as required, based on results.

  • Write and distribute press releases to media contacts, announcing new products, services, highlighted projects, awards, and other newsworthy items. Develop relationships with media editors. Seek earned media and editorial coverage where possible.

  • Manage all website content and development for the region’s three websites (EN-US, ES-US, & FR-CA), including the translations for each site. Work with Corporate Communications to manage all necessary updates made to the global website architecture on the local sites. Continuously improve the messaging of the site by using web best practices to best convey Armacell’s solutions. Track and measure effectiveness of website campaigns and pages through analytics services such as Google Analytics.

  • Develop the annual budget and track spend to plan. Assign the required resources based on the Marketing Communications Strategy and identify possible deviations to plan to proactively adjust spending as necessary.

  • Coordinate all Trade Show activities in conjunction with the pertinent Sales organization. Coordinate the development of all exhibits, displays, literature, and promotions.

  • Identify, assess, and coordinate work with outside Marketing vendors including copy writers, printers, videographers, web developers, fulfillment houses, and any other vendors who provide services to the Marketing Communications group.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Marketing Communications in a corporate environment. Experience in manufacturing-based business is a plus.

  • A degree in Marketing or Journalism/Communications is required, additional MBA a plus.

  • Familiar with web CMS platforms (especially Drupal), Google Analytics, email marketing systems (Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engage), Salesforce.com, LMS platforms, SEO, SEM, Google Ads, and apps as needed.

  • Advanced graphic design skills required. User of Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat. Video editing skills a plus.

  • Advanced knowledge of Social Media platforms for business: X, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.

  • Proficient in MS Office 365 using Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint.

  • Keen organization and project management skills are a necessity for success.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Able to lead and influence cross-functional team members.

  • Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.

  • Technical knowledge of mobile devices, laptops, tablets and audio-visual equipment and their use for marketing purposes.

The expected compensation range for this role is $130,000.00 -$150,000.00.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience, and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
