This individual will focus on the design, deployment, and hands-on management of our GCP-based data infrastructure and integrations. In this role, the successful candidate will provide technical expertise in the following areas: 1) building and maintaining automated data pipelines and API integrations across our marketing technology stack; 2) evaluating current data architecture and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability; 3) managing and optimizing GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Storage; 4) partnering with analytics and marketing teams to ensure data flows are accurate, timely, and well-documented.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and maintain GCP-based data infrastructure including Cloud Composer, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage. Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot failures, and ensure reliable, timely data delivery across the marketing technology stack.

  • Build and maintain API integrations between marketing platforms (including Domo, various ad platforms, Salesforce/SFMC, Google search console, survey tools, and others) and ensure data flows are accurate, well-documented, and scalable.

  • Provide architectural guidance and hands-on implementation support for data engineering projects within the Marketing Analytics team. Evaluate existing pipelines and integrations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and reduce technical debt.

  • Support the development and automation of marketing data pipelines and reporting infrastructure. Research and recommend solutions for complex data flow and ETL/ELT challenges as the team's subject matter expert on GCP.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related course of study required or equivalent work experience. Related Master’s Degree a plus.

  • 5+ years (7+ years preferred) working experience in roles related to data engineering that leverage Google Cloud Platform, Airflow, scalable API integrations, strong experience with metadata management, master data management and data governance.  Previous analytic work with business intelligence, corporate reporting metrics and dashboard systems, data warehousing, information infrastructure and ETL processes.

  • Excellent understanding of Python, SQL, solid ETL processes experience and understanding of cloud-based information systems, managing DAGs, proficiency in data management tools, project management skills and presentation skills

  • Good communications skills – must be able to explain relatively complex analyses in ways that are understandable and actionable to marketing stakeholders. Must also be able to clearly articulate both strategic direction, and tactical actions to Professional/Management Levels, IT team, and marketing stakeholders. Detail oriented with excellent analytical ability.

  • Must be able to clearly work with marketing program owners to determine business needs and requirements and then translate that into research and reporting requirements for internal teams and external vendors.

  • Ability to work independently and set priorities based on high level direction of the Director of Data Engineering in Global Marketing Analytics.

The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

$94,000.00 - $138,000.00
