Job Description
This summer internship will focus on exposing an intern to a wide variety of product marketing and marketing communication functions that support our Animal Health segment and other businesses. They will participate in new product development process, data analytics, and support with the development of marketing materials across multiple markets.
This is a full-time, paid internship located at our Brooklyn Park location, with an hourly rate of $20/hour. The internship will run from May 26 through August 14, with some flexibility on dates depending on availability.
Program Requirements
- Reliable personal transportation is required.
- Housing is not provided. This internship does not include a housing stipend or housing assistance.
- This internship is onsite full-time in Brooklyn Park, MN.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Learn product management principles
- Build multiple segment analysis using PowerBi sales data
- Assist in building of the annual situation analysis plan
- Conduct market research and keep apprised of market trends
- Support the development of marketing communication materials
- Partner with marketing communication specialist to help for the launch of new products through messaging, design and project tracking.
- Participate in the execution of ongoing ad campaigns
- Support team with trade show planning and execution
- Build competitive analysis of products in multiple markets
- Identify key competitors and their product
- Build comparison to MGK product line to identify potential opportunities
- Present findings to the marketing team
Qualifications
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business or related field (e.g. Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Economics), preferably finishing their third year as of May 2026
- Must be self-motivated and can work independently
- Demonstrated multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Aptitude to read and understand technical documents
- Strong organization and detail oriented
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Power BI)
