SUMMARY OF DUTIES
This is a full-time, paid summer internship designed for University of Utah students seeking hands-on experience in a professional, global marketing organization. Marketing Interns will participate in a rotational program across Merit Medical's Brand, Digital/Omnichannel, and Communications teams.
Interns will contribute to real marketing initiatives while learning how a regulated medical device company plans, executes, and measures marketing work. Responsibilities vary by rotation and project needs, and all work is completed under the guidance and supervision of experienced marketing professionals to support learning and development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION PERFORMED
Brand Team Rotation
Drafts, proofreads, and organizes brand content with team guidance
Maintains brand templates, toolkits, and documentation
Supports brand operations, tracking intake, and social media coordination
Digital / Omnichannel Rotation
Assists with content audits and asset organization by journey stage
Supports documentation and coordination of digital campaigns
Compiles basic analytics and supports CRM and campaign tracking
Communications Rotation
Drafts, edits, and formats internal communications
Supports executive presentations, talking points, and town halls
Proofreads for visual consistency and conducts background research

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education equivalent to a High School Diploma and one year of previous marketing experience.
- Ideal candidate will be pursuing a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Marketing.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with others, verbally and in writing.
