Marketing Internship

Job Description Summary

The Marketing Intern works with cross-functional internal teams on strategic marketing tactics, communications and materials that support the organization’s sales and marketing goals, both internally and externally for all entities under Trident Ventures, including Loch Lloyd Country Club, Trident Real Estate, Double Eagle Builders and Viridity. This role will work closely with the Marketing team and internal teams to develop engaging social media content, capture photo and video, create graphics and other visual materials, and support the marketing needs of each entity.

Job Description

Essential Functions

● Collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop, coordinate and measure marketing initiatives.

● Execute marketing tactics based on Trident Ventures product positioning, integrated campaign strategies and market strategy insights.

● Support the development and execution of social media strategies and content plans across Trident Ventures and its entities.

● Create, capture and coordinate engaging social media content, including photography, video, Reels, stories, captions and other platform-specific content.

● Assist with graphic design needs and the creation of visual marketing materials, with a primary focus on support the ongoing marketing and communication needs.

● Create social media graphics, event promotions, member communications, digital advertisements and other visual content using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar design tools.

● Capture photo and video content on-site at properties, projects, events and company activities; draft and publish social media posts; monitor engagement; and identify opportunities to grow brand awareness and engagement.

● Research, develop and draft blog content for Trident Ventures and its entities, helping tell the story of the company, its projects, people, expertise and work in the Kansas City market.

● Ensure consistent brand voice and creative guidelines are met across all deliverables for various channels and audiences.

● Represent Trident Ventures in a professional manner at all times.

● Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Skills and Experience

● Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or other related field required or currently completing.

● Previous internship, class or extracurricular experience in marketing, communications, social media or a related field preferred, but not required.

● Exceptional storytelling, writing and editing skills.

● Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other major social media platforms.

● Experience creating short-form video content including Reels, stories or similar formats.

● Strong photography and videography skills, with the ability to capture quality content using a phone or camera.

● Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or other content creation and editing tools.

● Understanding of social media analytics, engagement metrics and content performance.

● Ability to learn platforms, software and technology quickly.

● Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Calendar.
