POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the end-to-end execution of Higher Education RFP and RFQ pursuits, managing the process from Go decision through final submission. This role oversees planning, coordination, and content development to ensure high-quality and competitive proposals. The Marketing Manager will partner closely with the National Market Leader, Higher Education and Marketing team to deliver consistent, on-brand, and on-strategy submissions that support business growth.
RESPONSIBILITES
RFP/RFQ Development
- Manage the execution of RFP/Q pursuits from Go decision through final submission, aligning with the approved win strategy established by National Market Leader, Higher Education.
- Develop detailed Higher Education pursuit plans, set proposal schedules and internal deadlines, and lead coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
- Lead proposal execution efforts, coordinating contributions from Marketing Pursuit Specialists, Technical Writers, Graphic Designers, and Subject Matter Experts.
- Support the development of customized proposal content that complements standard qualifications and aligns with pursuit strategy and client priorities.
- Enforce firm templates, branding standards, and process documentation to ensure consistency, compliance, and quality across submissions.
- Review proposal materials for accuracy, completeness, clarity, and alignment with strategic messaging.
- Lead and/or support interviews and business development initiatives, as directed by the National Market Leader, Higher Education.
Process Management & Team Development
- Ensure excellence in RFP/Q submissions through structured planning, disciplined execution, and proactive issue resolution.
- Lead pink and red review processes to refine messaging, strengthen positioning, and improve overall proposal quality.
- Train, mentor, and build competency within the Marketing Pursuit Specialist team, fostering consistency, efficiency, and professional growth.
- Identify opportunities to improve pursuit workflows, tools, and processes, and proactively recommend enhancements.
Marketing Strategy Support
- Actively review IMS, BidNet, and other pursuit sourcing outlets to develop a weekly list of potential pursuits to present to the National Market Leader, Higher Education; engage in the Go No Go process.
- Contribute to the execution of pursuit-aligned marketing and business development initiatives that support firm growth.
- Provide tactical support, as needed, for PR, social media, conferences, and events in alignment with marketing and business development priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in marketing, strategy, or business development within the AEC industry is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing or supporting Higher Education or Medical Education pursuits and business development is desired.
- Proficiency in MS office, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience in Open Asset, VantagePoint, or similar programs are a plus.
- Graphic design experience is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on improving departmental and firm-wide processes.
