Job Description
ABOUT MY BEST HOMECARE:
My Best Homecare, Inc. (MBHC) is a Joint Commission-accredited DME provider headquartered in San Jose, California, with a 20-year legacy of delivering home respiratory care to medically complex adult and pediatric patients. We specialize in home mechanical ventilation — both noninvasive and invasive ventilation for tracheostomy-dependent patients — serving populations with ALS, neuromuscular disease, spinal cord injury, and other life-limiting diagnoses. Our clinical team, led by a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), partners directly with pulmonologists, neurologists, ALS clinics, and hospital discharge teams to ensure patients receive the right equipment, education, and ongoing clinical support in the home.
MBHC is growing its referral base and seeks a clinically credible, relationship-driven marketing professional who can represent our expertise with confidence to the physicians, care teams, and institutions that trust us most.POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Clinical Marketing Representative is the primary outward-facing clinical liaison between MBHC and its referral sources. This role is responsible for building and sustaining relationships with ALS clinics, neurology practices, pulmonology groups, hospital discharge planners, case managers, and rehabilitation centers throughout the assigned territory. The ideal candidate brings a clinical background in respiratory therapy, nursing, or a related allied health field and understands the complexity of home mechanical ventilation, tracheostomy care, and DME reimbursement well enough to speak credibly with physicians and advanced practice providers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and grow a referral network of neurologists, pulmonologists, ALS clinic coordinators, hospitalists, discharge planners, and case managers across the assigned territory.
- Serve as the clinical face of MBHC, presenting our ventilator management capabilities, clinical protocols, and patient support services to physician offices, hospital departments, and multidisciplinary clinics.
- Educate referral partners on MBHC's clinical differentiators — including 24/7 respiratory therapist availability, home ventilator titration support, and the superiority of home mechanical ventilation for ALS and neuromuscular disease populations over standard BiPAP.
- Identify and qualify new referral opportunities, track referral sources and volumes, and report progress against targets to leadership.
- Collaborate with the clinical and intake teams to ensure smooth transitions from referral to patient setup, proactively communicating any clinical or insurance complexities.
- Stay current on Medicare, Medi-Cal, CCS, and commercial payer coverage policies for respiratory DME, including ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, suction, cough assist, and pulse oximetry.
- Represent MBHC at ALS clinic meetings, hospital case management rounds, professional associations, and DME/home health industry events.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of all referral contacts, visit activity, and pipeline metrics.
- Support physician outreach related to clinical documentation requirements, including Letters of Medical Necessity, home ventilator orders, and re-authorization communications.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active clinical license in respiratory therapy (RRT/CRT), nursing (RN/LVN), or equivalent allied health discipline — OR — 3+ years of demonstrated success in clinical DME or home health marketing with deep respiratory focus.
- Thorough understanding of home respiratory equipment — home mechanical ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, cough assist devices (MI-E), suction machines, and supplemental oxygen.
- Working knowledge of Medicare DMEPOS coverage and documentation requirements (CMN, LMN, face-to-face requirements, prior authorization).
- Proven ability to build and sustain referral relationships with physicians and advanced practice clinicians in a competitive market.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clinical information clearly and compellingly to a range of clinical audiences.
- Self-directed, accountable, and motivated to achieve referral volume targets without heavy supervision.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation for field-based territory visits.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Direct clinical or marketing experience with ALS, neuromuscular disease, or ventilator-dependent patient populations.
- Established referral relationships with neurologists, pulmonologists, or ALS clinic coordinators at Bay Area institutions strongly preferred.
- Experience with home mechanical ventilators (e.g., Philips Trilogy, ResMed Astral, LTV series).
- Familiarity with California Children's Services (CCS) for pediatric respiratory DME.
- Experience using CRM platforms for territory management and referral tracking.
TERRITORY NOTES:This territory covers the greater San Francisco Bay Area, including ALS clinics, neurology and pulmonology practices, and major hospital systems such as Stanford Health Care, UCSF Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente Northern California, and regional community hospitals. The territory is headquartered from MBHC's San Jose office. Candidates should be comfortable driving throughout the South Bay, Peninsula, and East Bay.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Base salary commensurate with clinical background and experience.
- Performance-based commission tied to verified referral volume and net revenue, paid quarterly.
- Mileage reimbursement at IRS rate for all territory travel.
- Health insurance and paid time off (minimum 3 weeks).
- Cell phone stipend.
- Professional development support including continuing education and clinical conference attendance.
- Opportunity to grow with a clinically respected, specialty-focused DMEPOS company with 20+ years in complex respiratory care.
WHY MBHC:At MBHC, marketing is clinical. Our representatives are expected to understand the patients we serve — not just the equipment we deliver. You will work alongside a team led by a practicing Registered Respiratory Therapist and partner with some of California's most respected ALS clinics and neuromuscular disease specialists. We are small enough that your referrals matter individually, and established enough that your physicians trust our name. If you are a clinician who thrives on relationship-building and wants to expand your impact beyond the bedside, this is your opportunity.
HOW TO APPLY: Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit the following:
- Resume highlighting clinical credentials, respiratory experience, and marketing/sales results.
- Brief cover letter describing your experience with home respiratory DME or complex respiratory patient populations and your approach to physician relationship development in the San Francisco Bay Area market.
My Best Homecare, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate clinical excellence and are committed to building a team that reflects the diversity of the patients and communities we serve.
About My Best Homecare:My Best Homecare is a premier complex respiratory care provider for home medical equipment. Our sole mission is to provide the best available home respiratory medical equipment, service, and support for patients living at home.
