Summary:
The Marketing Senior Manager at Colville Fuels LLC is a member of the Executive Leadership Team responsible for leading the development and execution of marketing and public relations strategies that align with the company's mission, vision, and values. This role oversees strategic planning, brand positioning, promotional campaigns, community partnerships, and digital media initiatives to drive business growth, increase brand awareness, and enhance the company's reputation. The Marketing Senior Manager directs annual and quarterly marketing plans, manages crisis communications, and serves as the primary media spokesperson. The position involves close collaboration with internal teams, senior leadership, vendors, and community organizations, requiring creativity, strong communication skills, and strategic thinking. Work is primarily office-based with some hybrid flexibility and occasional travel to store locations, community events, or media engagements.
Essential Functions:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Serve as a member of the company's Executive Leadership Team.
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to ensure marketing and public relations strategies are aligned with the company's mission, vision, and values.
- Set department-wide marketing standards and policies.
- Provide senior-level guidance and mentorship to marketing managers and staff.
- Develop and implement goals, objectives, and action plans related to marketing and public relations.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing and public relations to inform strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align marketing and public relations initiatives with broader business development and sales goals.
- Lead annual and quarterly marketing planning processes, integrating market research, customer insights, and competitive analysis.
- Direct strategic communication plans to enhance corporate image and effectively manage public perception.
Branding and Partnerships:
- Design and oversee brand positioning strategies to strengthen reputation and market presence.
- Develop and implement annual marketing plans to increase foot traffic, sales, and brand awareness.
- Manage promotional campaigns, seasonal offers, and loyalty programs.
- Oversee creative development for in-store signage, point-of-purchase displays, and advertising materials.
- Coordinate with vendors, distributors, and brand partners on co-marketing opportunities.
- Create crisis communication and reputation management strategies to minimize risk and protect brand equity.
- Develop long-term partnerships with media, community organizations, and stakeholders to enhance visibility and credibility.
- Lead community outreach efforts, sponsorships, and charitable partnerships to strengthen brand goodwill.
- Organize and support store-level events, grand openings, and promotional activations.
- Ensure brand consistency across all internal and external communications.
Public Relations and Communication:
- Serve as the primary media contact and spokesperson for the company.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, and company announcements.
- Manage crisis communications and reputation management as needed.
- Foster strong relationships with local media, community organizations, and industry associations.
Supervision and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and oversee the work of marketing managers and staff.
- Recruit, train, and mentor marketing staff.
- Provide coaching and development to build high-performing teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Recognize and reward strong performance while addressing areas for improvement.
- Responsible for evaluating performance and executing corrective and/or disciplinary action as needed, up to and including terminations.
Digital and Social Media Management:
- Oversee the company's social media channels, website, and digital advertising campaigns.
- Monitor online reputation (reviews, customer feedback) and respond appropriately.
- Implement targeted digital marketing strategies including geofencing, loyalty apps, and email marketing.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Track marketing campaign performance and provide ROI analysis.
- Monitor customer insights, market trends, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership with recommendations for growth.
- Other duties as assigned.
