A Brief Overview
The Marketing Specialist will play a pivotal role in advancing the health system's mission by creating, curating, and managing high-quality, engaging content for various marketing channels. This position requires a strategic thinker capable of producing compelling materials that resonate with diverse audiences, including patients, healthcare providers, and the community. The Marketing Specialist collaborates with internal teams, system leaders, and external partners to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with the organization's goals.Assists in various events and special programs and fulfills requests for information. Coordinates the production of educational and promotional videos. Acts as the marketing point person on the Fort Madison campus.Responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring digital marketing campaigns. Develops the content and digital strategy in conjunction with the marketing team. Tracks and measures the effectiveness of the campaign with the expectation of developing insights.
What you will do
- Plans, creates, and curates digital marketing campaigns for social media platforms to improve presence and engagement.
- Works closely with Sr. Marketing Specialist to create engaging content that includes researching health topics and interviewing health experts, translating complex healthcare information into user-friendly content.
- Marketing point person for the FM campus - responsible for fulfilling marketing requests specific to the FM campus.
- Contribute to the development of the health system by collaborating with others to develop and execute plans that target specific audiences, markets, and service lines.
- Develop and implement an ongoing video strategy for the health system for both educational and promotional purposes.
- Track, analyze, and prepare monthly reports on digital marketing performance.
- Work with the marketing team to develop new and innovative strategies to increase patient volume for the health system
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or Related Field (required)
- 1-3 years Healthcare marketing experience. Preferred
- 1-3 years Marketing experience with an emphasis on content creation and digital marketing. Required
- Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with diverse groups.
- Experience with or aptitude to learn marketing tools including video production equipment and editing software, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills and the ability to create and curate engaging content for various platforms.
- Knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, digital marketing tools, and content management systems with the ability to manage the organization's accounts effectively.
- Driven by curiosity.
- Keen analytical skills and experience using website analytical tools.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
