Student workers play a vital role in the success of maintaining critical reoccurring processes for the communications team. JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Marketing Technology (MarTech) Student Clerk, you will help with digital communication tasks, with a focus on email marketing and analytics.
Core Responsibilities (no prior experience needed)
- Build and test emails for mass communications (experience with email platforms like Constant Contact a plus)
- Provide performance analytics for mass email communications
- Email reports including email bounce lists and unsubscribes
- Update analytic projects with social media, web, and other digital communications metrics
- Assist with Marketing Cloud journey tasks including audits
- Attending team meetings and developmental opportunities as schedule allows
- Learning new skills as needed and obtaining certifications as schedule allows
This position will gain experience with a variety of platforms and software including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Anthology, Visual Analytics Dashboards, Facebook Insights, Twitter (X) Analytics, LinkedIn for Business, Instagram for Business, Sprinklr Social Media Management or similar social media analytics platform, and Google Analytics.
Schedule and Program Components
The clerk is expected to work 15-20 hours per week (hybrid on-site or remote), according to a schedule determined by the clerk and supervisor. No evening or weekend commitments are required as part of this position.
Preferred Qualifications (e.g., major, software knowledge, driver’s license): Strong written and oral communication. Interest in digital analytics. Power BI/Tableau experience a plus.
General Qualifications: Must be a current University of Iowa student.
