Position Summary

The Marketing Technology Manager is responsible for owning and optimizing the bank's marketing technology ecosystem, including CRM, marketing automation platforms, and supporting data and integrations. This role leads the design and execution of scalable customer journeys, ensures data flows accurately across systems, and enables Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience teams to execute effective, measurable business outcomes. It also manages a team and partners cross‑functionally to align technology capabilities with business growth, customer experience, and operational efficiency goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the marketing technology stack (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, customer engagement platforms) and ensure optimal performance and scalability

  • Lead development and execution of automated customer journeys across onboarding, cross-sell, retention, and lifecycle programs

  • Partner with key resources and assist in integration of data sources and platforms to enable a unified customer view and accurate campaign targeting

  • Establish governance, standards, and best practices for campaign build, QA, deployment, and performance tracking

  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, CX, IT, and Data teams to define requirements and deliver technology-enabled use cases

  • Manage and develop a team responsible for campaign operations, platform administration, and technical execution

  • Support continuous optimization of campaigns and journeys using data, testing, and performance insights

  • Monitor platform health, data quality, and compliance with regulatory and internal policies

  • Evaluate and implement new technologies or enhancements to improve automation, personalization, and measurement capabilities

  • Support reporting and analytics by enabling tracking, attribution, and data availability across marketing activities

  • Ensures that all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Hands-on experience owning or administering marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, etc.)

  • Proven track record designing and executing lifecycle marketing programs (onboarding, cross-sell, retention)

  • Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, IT, and Data teams to deliver integrated solutions Experience managing data integrations, segmentation, and campaign performance measurement

  • Deep understanding of CRM systems, marketing automation, and campaign execution

  • Strong knowledge of customer lifecycle marketing, segmentation, and personalization strategies

  • Data fluency (reporting, KPIs, attribution, A/B testing, performance optimization)

  • Understanding of data integrations, APIs, and data quality / governance practices

  • Familiarity with compliance requirements (e.g., CAN-SPAM, TCPA, data privacy)

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations.

  • Ability to write routine reports, simple-to-business correspondence, and procedures.

  • Ability to effectively speak, respond to questions, and present information to the following: one-on-one /small groups, customers, employees, clients, managers, top management, board of directors, and the general public.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, statistics, or related field. Masters degree strongly preferred

  • 5-8+ years of experience in marketing technology, marketing automation, CRM, or marketing operations roles

Computer Skills

  • MS Office programs

  • Training in marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot)

  • Training in CRM platforms and customer data architecture (e.g., Salesforce, CDPs)

  • Data and analytics training (SQL, reporting tools, customer segmentation)

  • Training in customer journey mapping and lifecycle marketing strategy

  • Basic technical training in APIs, integrations, or data workflows (preferred for MarTech roles)

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, preferred

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications

  • HubSpot certification

  • Microsoft Dynamics365 certifications

  • Marketo Certified Expert

  • Pardot specialist

Other Qualifications (including physical requirements)

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, and planning skills with the ability to set priorities.

  • Ability to manage and develop a team of technical and campaign resources

  • Strong project management and prioritization across multiple initiatives

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills

  • Data-driven mindset with ability to translate insights into action

  • Process and systems thinking
